Paul Watson Creative
I started out as a copywriter in London in the mid-90s.
What a time to be alive. What a time to be in London. Britpop, New Labour, raving all night long and even longer lunches.
For ten years I worked at big, glitzy agencies such as McCann Erickson and BMP DDB on eye-wateringly expensive TV campaigns.
With a baby on the way, we panicked and fled to Manchester.
After 4 years at the region's best - TBWA, I left to launch the award-winning advertising agency, ‘The King’s Arms’.
We won some great clients, produced some ace work and punched well above our weight.
In 2010, I joined the production company, Two Sugars, as Creative Partner.
In Summer 2011, I set up an offshoot - 'Sweeter', a video content and TV commercials company working directly with brands and clients who want to take more control of their film output, collaborate more in its development and maximize their budgets.
In 2017, I became CD at Chief – an amazing bunch of talented people creating brilliant film and content out of Media City.
From Jan 2019 - March 2021, I worked as Creative Director for Havas Lynx – probably the hottest creative shop in the world of Healthcare.
In July 2022, after a year of freelancing, a stint at MediaMonks London turned into a job. That's where you'll find me now, as Head of Copy on BMW UK.
